Type rating conversion for non-rated pilots.
The primary recurrent training program is for type rated MD80 pilots.
The secondary recurrent program focuses largely on the technical aspects applicable to the rotational technical syllabus.
All our practical training part is conducted in a full motion level-D flight simulator MD80.
For the theoretical, aircraft systems part, our Wisdom learning platform is accessible from anywhere in the world. The online training courses form the base of our student pre-course material.
SIMAERO trainees are invited to join the Sim Trainer One student community for trainees to engage with the SIMAERO pilot fraternity across the globe. Various channels of communication have been set up for the trainees to post or view relevant points of interest. SIMAERO students have permanent access to our community.
All our training programs can be adapted according to the requirements of the customer and other civil aviation authorities.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 is a series of five-abreast single-aisle airliners developed by McDonnell Douglas. It was produced by the developer company until August 1997 and then by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Stretched, enlarged wing and powered by higher bypass Pratt & Whitney JT8D-200 engines, the aircraft made its first flight on October 18, 1979 as the Super 80 and was certified on August 25, 1980. The first airliner was delivered to launch customer Swissair on September 13, 1980, which introduced it into commercial service on October 10, 1980.
