Continuing its investment and modernization plan, SIMAERO France has completed the upgrade of its Boeing 757/767 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) and has received the EASA certificate from French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) for PBN and Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) with full stall and icing capabilities as per CS-FSTD(A) Issue 2.
SIMAERO has selected the STALLBOX technical solution from BIHRLE Inc., which was already successfully implemented for the UPRT upgrade of its Boeing 737NG and 737 Classic simulators. The main advantages of this upgrade product were an easy installation with minimal down time, no impact on existing simulator certification and no interference with future baseline simulation updates. The project was executed despite the challenges of the global pandemic.

As for the UPRT, it is notable that SIMAERO Engineering team was the main integrator of the external solution Stallbox by Bihrle. All type rating programs of SIMAERO are already updated with UPRT scenarios, instructors familiarized accordingly, and theoretical content developed in SIMAERO’s new state of the art distance learning management system.
The Boeing 757/767 FFS is located at SIMAERO Paris Training Center’s premises 10 minutes away from Paris CDG airport terminals.
Boeing 757 Full Flight Simulator
The device has CG qualification level, is equipped with Rockwell Collins EP1000 CT visual system, collimated, with day, dusk, dawn, night, JVC, laser options. It has Rolls Royce B211-535 E4 engines fit, EICAS/ EFIS, ACAS II, UPRT/ Icing/ Full Stall, ETOPS capabilities.

Boeing 767 Full Flight Simulator
The device has CG qualification level, is equipped with Rockwell Collins EP1000 CT visual system, collimated, with day, dusk, dawn, night, JVC, laser options. It has PW4056 engines fit, EICAS/ EFIS, ACAS II, UPRT/ ICING/ Full stall, EGPWS, ETOPS capabilities.
