Daher has selected Simaero as its preferred partner for delivering training services in Europe on the TBM aircraft family.
Collaboratively with Daher, we have developed flight training courses aimed at providing all owners and operators of TBM aircraft with the knowledge and skills to operate these airplanes at their maximum level of safety.

Theoretical training:

Validation by a written exam

Flight training:

During the in-flight training, you will experience taking command of a TBM aircraft, whether it is your own or a rented one*, under the guidance of a highly experienced instructor.

This includes:

The first two days are dedicated to reviewing systems and procedures with your instructor
Minimum 10 hours/7 flights covering normal and abnormal procedures, instrument flight rules (IFR), emergency procedures and aircraft performance.
Skill test with an examiner.
*Simaero can assist you in renting a TBM aircraft.
Hold at least an EASA, FAA, or other ICAO license
Hold an ICAO or EASA IR(A)
Have at least 200 hours total pilot experience with an absolute minimum of 70 hours PIC (Pilot in Command)
Hold a medical class 1 or 2
Hold the High-Performance Aeroplane Knowledge Course or an EASA ATPL(A) *

Simaero can provide difference courses between all models of the TBM aircraft family according to the Operational Evaluation Guidance Material (OE GM) – Flight Crew from Daher.

High Performance Aeroplane Course
(for non ATPL Pilot)

A High-Performance Aeroplane (HPA) theoretical knowledge course is mandatory for EASA PPL(A) holders to fly a TBM airplane classed as a High-Performance Aeroplane, before entering the Class-rating Course.

This course is defined by the EASA to provide a pilot (without ATPL exam) with sufficient knowledge to enter a class or type rating course for an aeroplane that is defined as 'High Performance'.

This course includes:
Online self-study
Validation by a written exam
Once the HPA course is completed, a certificate is issued by the ATO.
