Flight Simulator
Relocation Projects

Simaero Engineering has a decade of experience in managing complex relocation projects for aircraft and helicopter full-flight simulators from the beginning to the end.
This turnkey service is accessible globally for civil, defense, and governmental operators. It covers all types, manufacturers, and generations of aircraft and helicopter simulators.

Relocation
Project Process

Count on our engineering experts to handle complex relocations with precision, covering everything from site surveys to device certification support, no matter the destination.
01

Initial
Site Survey

Effective initial and destination site preparation is crucial for a seamless relocation project. During this phase, we identify all necessary equipment and anticipate the scope of work.
02

Prechecks

We proceed to complete simulator baseline check to ensure the functional status of the simulator before dismantling. Additionally, these checks serve to gather useful information about operational specifics for the future maintenance team.
03

Disassembly

By employing an efficient marking process, we disconnect all equipment and dismantle the simulator into main elements for subsequent packing. This ensures optimization during the reassembly phase.
04

Packing/
Crating

The packing and crating phase adheres to international standards for maritime transportation. We leverage our experience to create tailored packing for sensitive simulator elements ensuring their preservation throughout the entire transportation process.
05

Transportation

Through strategic partnerships with logistics companies, we offer the optimal transportation solution, aiming for efficient travel time with the best possible pricing.
06

Destination
Site Survey

We survey and prepare the destination site similarly to the initial site, ensuring a streamlined reassembly of the simulator.
07

Reassembly

Upon arrival, we use the comprehensive disassembly report as a guide and proceed with the mechanical reassembly and cabling of the simulator.
08

Power Up

Power up and troubleshooting constitute one of the most delicate phases of a relocation project. Drawing on our expertise across simulator manufacturers and generations, we secure a smooth power up process.
09

Post-Checks

Like the prechecks, we conduct a comprehensive baseline check to guarantee the simulator's functional status after reassembly. In preparation for simulator certification, we perform all QTG tests and review the documentation.
10

Qualification
Support

After completing the post-checks, we hand the simulator over to the client and remain available for any additional assistance in simulation preparation for certification and providing support during the evaluation.

Relocation Project Duration

Standard total relocation time is approximately twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks.
However, the duration of each full-flight simulator relocation project can significantly vary based on:
The final destination for the full-flight simulator delivery and local conditions.
Transportation time and method.
The simulator's specifications and generation, especially for multi-engine versions or convertible models.
Potential concurrent requirements for simulator upgrades.

After Sales Warranty

Once handed over to the customer, a relocation project does not include a warranty on the simulator conditions.

However, for complete quality assurance, our engineering team commits to:
Assuming responsibility for and fixing any alteration in simulator condition resulting from the relocation process, based on the observations made during pre and post-checks.
Achieving the predetermined performance level for each additional upgrade proposed.
